When first the light
Laid down to darkness
The buried blight and weathered rime
To rouse from night
Entrenched communion and blessed bonds
To waken you
Then in our verdant wake
Arose a valiant hue
Upon the vale
Upon the pyres
Climbing high into a radiant beacon
Calling ever still
Into the depths
Into the hills
And reaching out with waves of color taking wing

Yet should colors ever fade
And should courage ever pale
Turn your heart unto the vibrant song
Still blooming in your trail
And calling back to you across the vale
When first the light
Laid down to darkness
The buried blight and weathered rime
To rouse from night
Entrenched communion and blessed bonds
To waken you
